Meet me at the 2019 PCOS Awareness Weekend Orlando

I will be attending this year’s PCOS Awareness Weekend presented by PCOS Challenge- The National Polycystic Ovary Syndrome Association complete with the Rise to Challenge Gala, Symposium, and a 5k Run/Walk.

The PCOS Awareness Symposium presented by PCOS Challenge, Inc. will help women and girls affected by PCOS become proactive about their health and discover strategies and resources to overcome their symptoms and reduce their risk for life-threatening related diseases such as cancer, diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is one of the most critical, underserved, under-diagnosed and underfunded conditions affecting women’s health. The event will also help raise awareness and improve understanding of PCOS among medical professionals, women and girls affected by the syndrome and the general public.

Why do we run/walk for PCOS?

Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) affects up to 15% women in the U.S. and hundreds of millions globally. It is one of the most critical, under-diagnosed, underfunded and neglected areas of health, which can lead to lifelong complications, infertility, type 2 diabetes, cardiovascular disease, cancer and other life-threatening diseases. By supporting the PCOS Challenge 5K Run Walk, you will become a champion for one of the most important issues affecting women's health. Your support will make a huge difference in the lives of tens-of-thousands of women as proceeds from the PCOS Challenge race will go toward PCOS research, health screenings, grants, education and support programs, as well as increasing awareness and public support for those with polycystic ovary syndrome. Your support will help improve health outcomes, health management and quality of care for women with PCOS.
